There’s Always Something Going on

Rome with its history and magnificent monuments is a dream not only for photographers but for anyone interested in beauty: you literally can’t look around without  finding a church, an old temple, an antique statue or any other piece of art.

I spent days studying, planning and searching the perfect spot and time for creating good images of a city that offers so many appealing sets.

I woke up at dawn, I waited under the rain: I really wanted that clean image of the Square Colosseum (Palazzo della Civiltà).

I tried many times to take that perfect image.

But there is always something going on in Rome.

The moment you find your perfect shot, with that beautiful light and that perfect reflection on a puddle, someone or something will step into your composition: cars, people, lights.

This series is about that moment when you stop trying to avoid them, and you start embracing the flow of this multilayered and complex capital.
